Some calls that Mesquite Fire and Rescue receives are not always included in the report, as a synopsis is not received. To show the amount of work our Fire and Rescue workers do, we are including a weekly roster of stats. There were 68 calls this week:

Dec. 30:
Fire alarm: Engine 31 and rescue 11 were dispatched out for a fire alarm. No smoke or fire was found upon arrival.
Assault/Sex Assault: Rescue 11 was dispatched out on a domestic violence call. Patient was transported to our local hospital.
Dec. 31:
Unconscious: Rescue 11 and Rescue 32 responded to a reported unconscious person. Patient was treated and transported to local hospital.
Falls: Rescue 11 and Rescue 32 responded to a reported fall victim. Person signed form indicating refusal of medical treatment and transport.
Jan. 1, 2019:
Fire alarm: Engine 31 responded to a smoke-detector activation. There was no smoke or fir found, and the activation was due to a malfunctioning smoke-detector.
Sick person: Rescue 11 and Rescue 32 dispatched to the report of a sick person. No patient was found.
Jan. 2:
Chest pain: Rescue 31 and Rescue 32 responded on a person with chest pain. Patient transported to local hospital.
Breathing: Rescue 11 and Rescue 32 responded to report of an individual with difficulty breathing. One patient was transported by Rescue 11 with Rescue 32 personnel on board.
Dec. 3:
Eye problem: Rescue 32 dispatched to the report of an eye problem. One person denied medical transport and signed out against medical advice.
Fire alarm: Truck 11, Engine 31, and Rescue 31 responded for a residential fire alarm. Unit found a faulty smoke detector, no smoke and no fire; all units available.
Dec. 4:
Psychiatric: Rescue 31 and Battalion 3 responded to report of a psychiatric problem. One patient was transported to a local hospital.
Animal bite: Rescue 31 responded to the Casa Blanca Casino for a person complaining of a dog bite. One person sign refusal form and Rescue 31 was cancelled from the scene.
Dec. 5:
Trauma: Rescue 11 responded to a reported fall victim with possible injury. one person transported to local hospital.
Back pain: Rescue 11 and Rescue 31 responded to a victim with reported back pain. Patient was transported to a local hospital.
