Many calls that the Police Department receives are not always included in the blotter, as they are under investigation or a synopsis is not received. To show the amount of work our PD does do, we are including a weekly roster of stats. There were 148 calls this week:

Dec. 30, 2018:
Traffic stop: An officer conducted a traffic stop that resulted in the arrest of the driver for traffic violations and DUI.
Domestic violence: Officer responded to an unknown problem at a Moss Dr. residence. Upon arrival it was obvious a domestic battery had occurred. One female was transported to the hospital and one male was taken into custody.
Suicide: Officer responded to report of an adult male bleeding. Determined subject was deceased. ISD and coroner contacted.
Trespassing: Officer responded to an E. Pioneer Blvd. casino reference a trespass violator. The subject was identified and issued a citation for trespassing and released with a court date.
Wanted person: An adult male was taken into custody for an active bench warrant. He was booked into the Mesquite Detention Center.
Burglary: Officers responded to a Kylee Ave. residence in reference to a possible home invasion.
Interviews were conducted and evidence was collected. No injuries were sustained, the investigation is ongoing.
Dec. 31, 2018:
Controlled substance problem: Detectives collected medications reference the Drug Take Back Program.
Theft from vehicle: Officers responded to a Mesa Blvd. residence reference a theft of property from a vehicle. A report was completed.
Minor gambling: Responded to a W. Mesquite Blvd. casino on a report of a minor gambling.
Traffic stop: An adult male was taken into custody for DUI and other charges.
Traffic accident w/o injury: Officers responded to a two vehicle accident with no injuries. The vehicles were damaged but both could be driven. Officer conducted an investigation and exchanged driver information.
Traffic stop: An officer conducted a traffic stop that resulted in the arrest of the driver for DUI.
Minor gambling: Officers responded to a W. Mesquite Blvd. casino on a report of minor gambling. Two adult minors were issued citations for minor gambling.
Jan. 1, 2019:
Wanted person: An adult male was located an arrested for active warrants out of Mesquite Justice Court and Mesquite Municipal Court.
Jan. 2:
Domestic Violence: Male adult was arrested for domestic battery and possession of a narcotic. He was transported to the detention center where he will alter be transported to Clark County Detention Center to be booked on the above charges.
Property damage, non- vandalism: Officer responded to an incident of graffiti in a Second South St. park. Investigation is ongoing.
Missing person: Officers took a report of a missing person who was last known to be at a Mesquite casino.
Domestic violence: Officers responded to a Golden Rod Ln. residence reference a report of domestic violence in progress. One male was taken into custody.
Found property: Officer responded to the library for a report of a found bicycle. Officer secured the bicycle in found property.
Domestic violence: Officers responded to a Turtle Back Rd. residence in reference to a Verbal Domestic. One male adult was arrested for obstructing a public officer.
Dec. 3:
Minor gambling: Officer responded to a W. Mesquite Blvd. casino for a report of minor gambling. One male subject was issued a citation for minor gambling and released with a court date.
Found property: Officer responded to the Municipal Court for found property. Officer secured the property until the owners could be identified.
Domestic violence: Officers responded to a parking lot of a W. Pioneer Blvd. discount store for a report of a domestic dispute in progress. After investigation, one female was taken into custody for domestic battery.
Dec. 4:
Intoxicated person: Officer responded to a W. Mesquite Blvd. casino for a report of an intoxicated person refusing to leave when requested. One male subject was taken into custody for two active warrants.
Miscellaneous CAD call record: Officer responded to the Mesquite Justice Facility for an incident of child custody issue. Officer documented the incident and advised both parties to contact legal counsel or family courts.
Theft: An officer responded to a Hardy Way business reference a report of theft and embezzlement.
Suspicious person: Officer responded to a report of a possible fraud from another jurisdiction.
Officer made contact with the involved subject who agreed to repay the reporting person.
Found property: Officer responded to a report of a found bicycle on Lisa Ln. Officer took custody of the bicycle and secured it until the owners are identified.
Traffic accident w/o injury: Officer responded to a report of property damage. A neighbor backed into the reporting person’s vehicle. Insurance information was obtained by the reporting person.
Lost property: Officers took a report of lost property.
Domestic violence: Officers responded a casino in reference to a domestic battery. One female adult was arrested.
Dec. 5:
Theft: Officers were dispatched to an E. Pioneer Blvd. casino, in reference to a possible theft.
An adult male subject was issued a citation for obscene conduct.
Trespassing: Officers responded to a motel on a trespass call. One male was trespassed and one female was taken into custody for a warrant out of Mesquite Municipal Court.
Traffic stop: Officers conducted a traffic stop, one male occupant was arrested for a warrant out of Las Vegas Justice Court.
Suicidal person: Officers attempted to find a suicidal adult female, reported from another agency. Only a first name was provided and a general location. The female was not found.
