Some calls that Mesquite Fire and Rescue receives are not always included in the report, as a synopsis is not received. To show the amount of work our Fire and Rescue workers do, we are including a weekly roster of stats. The Mesquite Fire Department received 60 calls this week.

Feb. 16:

Sick Person: Rescue 31 responded to reports of a sick person. On arrival, crews found patient needed assistance with bandaging a wound. Patient refused transport to the hospital for further treatment and transport. Patient signed Against Medical Advice paperwork.

Hemorrhage: Rescue 11 and Rescue 32 responded to reports of a person bleeding. Rescue 11

treated and transported the person to Mesa View Regional for further treatment and evaluation.

Feb. 17:

Falls: Rescue 11 responded to reports of a person needing lift assistance. Rescue 11 arrived and provided lift assistance to the uninjured person who declined transport for further treatment and evaluation.

Assault: Station 3 was cancelled from this call be unit was assigned.

Feb. 18:

MVA with Injury: Rescues 11, Engine 31 and Rescue 31 responded to a three-vehicle accident with

multiple patients at the intersection of Ivy Lee Crest and Pebble Creek Hts. One patient was transported to Mesa View Regional Hospital. Two other patients on scene were assessed, but both refused transport to a hospital for further evaluation.

Patient Transport: Rescue 31 provided a medically necessary interfacility patient transport from Mesa View Regional Hospital to a local residence.

Feb. 19:

Falls: Rescue 31 responded to a report of a fall. On scene no injuries were reported or

found. Lift assist only.

Fire Alarm: Engine 11 responded to a fire alarm activation. On scene no fire or emergency

were found. The alarm was the result of o youth activating an alarm pull station.

Feb. 20:

Abdominal Pain: Rescues 11 and 32 responded to a report of abdominal pain. One patient was

treated, but patient refused transport to a hospital for further evaluation.

 

Falls: Rescue 11 responded to a report of a fall. On scene no injuries were

reported or found. Lift assist only.

Feb. 21:

Sick Person: Rescue 33 and Rescue 32 responded to reports of a sick person. 1 patient was transported to Mesa View Regional Hospital.

Breathing: Rescue 31 and Rescue 32 responded to reports of a person having breathing problems. 1 patient was transported to Mesa View Regional Hospital.

Feb. 22:

Accident: Rescue 32 and Engine 31 responded to reports of a Motor Vehicle Accident. Patient refused treatment and transport. Patient signed Against Medical Advice paperwork.

Sick Person: Rescue 11, Rescue 32 and Battalion 3 responded to reports of a sick person. 1 patient was transported to Mesa View Regional Hospital.
