Virgin Valley High School Bulldog Wyatt Hillius defeated Kyle Hudson from Mojave High School by fall in 2:15 of the first round to win the 3A Nevada State Wrestling Championship Saturday February 15. The State Wrestling Championship for all classes was held at Virgin Valley High School. Virgin Valley qualified seven wrestlers for state and placed third in final standings with 83 points. Spring Creek and SLAM Academy had 182 and 168 points respectively. Bulldogs Ethan Woods, Austin Workman and Wyatt Anderson placed third in their respective weight classes. Case Crandall and Jaren Hafen lost their third place matches finishing fourth. It was another good year for wrestling on the hill.
