Bulldog power forward Alexis Boatright saved her best for the final period as she had the first 9 points to lead the Dawgs to a 43-29 victory over previously unbeaten 3A Sunrise League opponent, Boulder City High School Thursday night on the hill. Boatright finished the game with 14 points and dominated the boards in the fourth period.

The Bulldogs maintained their lead behind three balls from Nathalie Lagamayo and freshman Brooklin Montoya. The Bulldogs led 18-14 at the break but the lead could have been greater except for some unforced turnovers. The Dawgs took a 10 point lead early in the third period 26-16 before the Eagles rallied to cut the lead to 28-24 after three periods. Excellent passing off the hands of Kalli Garrett set up numerous shots underneath by Boatright. Boatright went 9-10 from the line down the stretch, countering every shot by the Eagles. The win gives the Bulldogs a 3-2 record in Sunrise League play.
