The Bulldogs running attack wore down the Miners defense in the last period chewing up big minutes on the clock. The Bulldogs scored twice in the period giving the Dawgs the win. “Mebs had a great game,” said Bulldog coach Matt Woods. “He is the leader on our team and is a great example for the younger kids.” The Bulldog win kept them in first place in 3A Sunrise League play with a record of 4-0 with one game remaining against archrival Moapa Valley on Oct.25. The Dawgs are 7-1 overall with their only loss being against 4A Cimarron-Memorial earlier in the season. The Pirates are tied for second with Boulder City with 3-1 records. If the Bulldogs win, they would get first seed in the 3A Southern Conference Tournament.
