The Dawgs will travel Friday September 6 for their third game of the young season facing Del Sol High School. The Bulldogs defeated the Dragons last year 32-26 in the Dawgs Pound. The Dragons are 1-1 for the season losing their opener to 4A Desert Oasis 40-21 and crushing Slam Academy 42-13. The Dragons are led by Q.B. Damani Wilks who has gone 17-26 for 200 yards passing and has rushed for 161 yards on only 15 carries. The Dawgs defensive backs will be tested by all-everything receiver Maalik Flowers, one of the swiftest wide-out in the league. Flowers, has 12 receptions this year for 144 yards and two touchdowns. The Dawgs will counter with their powerhouse running attack led by running back Wyatt Delano and Q.B.’s Kyler Weeks and Mebs Hollingshead, who return’s after missing the first two games of the season with an injury. Delano has 238 yards on 26 carries. The Dawgs pound it out offense should win the day if they can eliminate costly fumbles encountered in the first two games.
