This past weekend the City of Mesquite competitive Swim Team the “Mesquite Manta Rays” hosted the site for the championship under Fredonias administration to win the the Tri-State Swim Team Championships and individual medals.

The Mesquite Manta Rays won the Team Championship again and will hold the traveling trophy for the another year, this is a great accomplishment for the youth, coaches and the community; this is a reflection of the dedication of the youth of the valley and the great coaching they get from the staff. We are extremely proud of the program, youth, coaches and the community support over the years.

The team worked hard all summer. They had a lot of fun and enjoyed swimming! “Said Markel Ludvigson, Head Coach” Their competitive nature drove them every day and their hard work paid off on the blocks! I love these kids; the whole reason I came back to Mesquite after college was for the opportunity to coach the Manta Rays and defend our title. I could not be more proud of the program, coaches and the Kids. “Ludvigson added”.
