Today Power2Parent announces a community event to educate families about the various school choice options available to them in Nevada. Power2Parent is a group of parents that formed in 2014 when it became apparent that policies being created through the Clark County School District at the time were circumventing the voice of parents. Since then, they have been successful in bridging the gap in public education and providing a voice for parents in school choice legislation.

Join us on Thursday, May 9th at 6:00 pm-8:00 pm at the Mesquite Recreation Center (100 W. Old Mill Rd) for our first annual Power2Parent School Choice Fair in Mesquite. Bring your families, enjoy dinner from the World’s Best Corndogs food truck, and learn about education options in Nevada. Among the organizations present will be Nevada School Choice, Mesquite Christian Academy, a local homeschool group, CSN Mesquite Campus, Clark County School District, and more. Vendors will be on hand to discuss the various types of education models available and will include updated information on the Opportunity Scholarships in Nevada.

“School choice is a parental right because as parents we’re ultimately responsible for the education of our children. I know what each of my kids need when it comes to their learning styles. School choice allows me to fulfill their needs. Power2Parent exists to protect my rights.” -Erin Francom,

Power2Parent-Moapa Valley

Power2Parent exists to inform, organize, and mobilize community members for the protection of fundamental parental rights. For more information visit www.power2parent.org .
