Some calls that Mesquite Fire and Rescue receives are not always included in the report, as a synopsis is not received. To show the amount of work our Fire and Rescue workers do, we are including a weekly roster of stats. There were 53 calls this week:

Dec. 9:

Hemorrhage:  Beaver Dam Fire Department provided aid and responded to report of a laceration at a local detention facility.

MVA with Injury:  Rescue 31, Engine 31, and Rescue 11 responded to report of a motor vehicle accident. Rescue 11 and Rescue 31 each transported one patient.

Dec. 10:

Fire:  While fueling, E-31 noticed a fire in a local towing company yard. Made contact with employee who was advised to extinguish the fire and get a burn permit before any further burning.

Fire:  Engine 31, Rescue 31, and Rescue 11 were dispatched to a dumpster fire. Unit arrived to find a fully involved dumpster fire. The fire was quickly put out by fire crews.

Dec. 11:

Hemorrhage:  Rescue 11 and Rescue 31 responded to a person vomiting blood. Rescue 31 transported one person to the local hospital.

Public assist:  Engine 31 called to home for a public assistance. Engine 31 assisted the home power with their smoke detector batteries.

Cardiac arrest:  Rescue 31, Rescue 32 and Engine 31 responded to a reported person in cardiac arrest.  Person was deceased on arrival.

Dec. 12:

MVA with Injury:  Rescue 31 and Truck 31 responded to a multiple vehicle collision. No serious injury reported and person signed Medical Refusal Form.

Abdominal pain:  Rescue 31 and Rescue 32 responded to a reported person having severe abdominal pain. One person was transported to local hospital.

Dec. 13:

Unconscious:  Rescue 31 and Rescue 11 dispatched for mutual aid to Bunkerville with Clark County Fire Department on a report of an unconscious person. One person was transported to the local hospital.

Dec. 14:

Back pain:  Rescue 11 dispatched to the report of back pain. Person signed out against medical advice.

Breathing:  Rescue 11 and Rescue 32 responded to the report of an elderly female with difficulty breathing. Rescue 11 transported patient to the local hospital.

Dec. 15:

Heat/Cold:  Rescue 31 responded to an elderly male with a fever. Rescue 31 transported patient to the local hospital.

Special event:  Rescue 33 responded to a local casino to provide medical coverage for a special event.

Dec. 16:

MVA with injury:  Rescue 11, Rescue 32, and Engine 31 responded to report of a motor vehicle accident on I-15 south bound mile marker 116. After driving south bound past mile marker 106 and north bound back to town there were no findings.

Abdominal pain:  Rescue 11 and Rescue 32 responded to report of an individual with abdominal pain. On arrival individual advised that he did not want medical assistance.

Dec. 17:

Breathing:  Rescue 11 and Rescue 32 responded to report of an individual having difficulty breathing. Rescue 11 transported one patient to a local hospital.

Patient transport: Rescue 32 responded to the local hospital for a Critical Care Transport to a hospital in the St. George area.
