Lady Bulldogs Bernice Fiso and Abbie Barnum won their specialties Wednesday March 22 to lead the Dawgs in their 4-way meet with Chaparral, Western and Indian Springs High School. The Bulldogs scored 151 points to 62 points for Chaparral, 33.5 points for Western and 7.5 points for Indian Springs. The Dawgs won 12 events to dominate the meet. Fiso won the discus with a throw of 92’10” and threw the shot 33’6.5” to win easily. Barnum flew over the 100 and 300 meter hurdles to win by almost three seconds over her closest competitor. Barnum also placed second in the 100 meter dash losing by .10 of a second.

Bulldogs winning track events included Macee Bundy in the 400 meters, Sarah Walters in the 800 meters and the Bulldog 4×100, 4×400 and 4×800 relay teams. The 4×100 team composed of Nikita Eskelsen, Abbie Barnum, Emily Teerlink and Bundy won by an amazing 14+ seconds over Chaparral.

Bulldog field event winners included Emma Barnum in the high jump, Emma Wilson in the pole vault and Hailee Thornley swept the long and triple jumps. Bulldogs scoring high points with second place finishes were, Jaylee Whipple, Alyssa Ponce, Cassadee Reber, Elaena Andelin, Andi Munford, Eskelsen, and Viviana Vega. The Bulldogs host Sunrise Mountain H S on March 30.
