Utah Youth Soccer Association (UYSA) is looking for people interested in becoming soccer referees.

The soccer region in Mesquite and southern Utah is in desperate need of licensed referees of all ages from 14 and up. There is a dire need of youth and adult referees to handle the game loads for the area. If there are not enough referees available for the league, games will be in danger of canceling.

A referee licensing clinic is coming up and it’s a great opportunity for young soccer players and even college level soccer players to earn extra cash. No prior soccer experience is necessary; training is available.

When: Friday, Aug. 5 from 6 – 9 p.m. and Saturday, Aug. 6, 9 a.m. – 4 p.m.

Where: Best Western Plus Abbey Inn, 1129 S Bluff St, St George, UT

Description: This clinic is an entry level clinic for both Grade 8 and Grade 9 referees for 2016. Participants must attend both sessions (Fri. & Sat.) to certify.

A Utah Referee Certification is valid in Nevada for youth games and can used to begin the process of becoming a referee for the Southern Nevada Officials Association.
