Thursday at the Canyons the forward tee players took advantage of the great spring weather and took home all seven low net awards for the first time ever in MMGA history. The top low net went to David Miller whose round consisted of 11 pars and a birdie for his best round since joining the group 39-41-80 and net 60. Nice round David! Bill Nelson shot a pair of 44’s for 88 and was way back in second place with a net 65. Jim Smith and John Meyer had identical gross scores at 82 and identical net scores of 67 and they played together in the same foursome. Smith got the better of Meyer with a bogey on the first handicap hole. Don Mannon is back in the winner’s circle as his 85 was a net 69 for 5th. Terry Gardner (89) and Tim Bergstrom (85) were tied for 6th which Gardner won with his bogey on the FHH. The other story of the day was Tim Miller (76) beat Andrew Yeh (79) for the second time this year. Two double bogeys on two par five’s cost Yeh the title.
