The Mesquite Virgin Valley Lions along with volunteers from the Salvation Army will again sponsor the annual Easter Egg Hunt at Marilyn Redd Park in Mesquite on Saturday, April 4, 2015.

Project chairman, Judi DePew says the egg hunt will begin promptly at 9 a.m. All children in the area age 10 and under are invited to hunt for eggs free of charge.

There will be some special “Golden” eggs for those lucky enough to find them. There will also be prizes and special gifts.

The highlight of the event will be to meet the Easter Bunny and his helper the Easter Duck, so bring your cameras.

The children will be grouped by ages into four groups so all the children from babies and toddlers on to 10 years of age will have a chance to hunt with children of the same age.

The Lions are very grateful to the Salvation Army for their help with this project. This community effort allows the Lions to continue to provide this event free of charge.

Be sure to invite friends and neighbors to join in the fun.  Each year, the Lions have hidden over 4,000 eggs and will again have plenty of eggs to be found.  It is a good idea to bring an empty basket to collect the eggs. For more information, call 702-345-2104.
