On Thursday, February 26, Police Officers were able to locate and arrest their suspect involved in multiple residential burglaries. For the past few months, the Mesquite Police Department’s Investigative Services Division has been involved in a lengthy investigation involving multiple burglaries. The suspect is currently in custody and has been identified as being responsible for numerous residential burglaries. All of these burglaries have occurred within the Mesquite City area.
The suspect, Mesquite resident Cameron Hill, 33, has been charged with numerous felony counts of Burglary of a residence.
Mesquite Police Chief Troy Tanner commended the community and his police officers for their collaborative effort; “The police department has been able to continually work hard and receive new and updated information related to the rash in home burglaries thanks to citizens keeping a constant watch on their neighborhoods and calling the police department whenever they observe suspicious activity.” Chief Tanner added, “It is due to this teamwork between the community and police department that our burglary suspect is now in custody.”
This Cameron Hill does not look at all like any of the 3 suspects Detective Richmond of the MPD shared with me from his cell phone at the Sun City Homeowner’s meeting on Feb. 9th. Do the police know if this fellow was working alone? What became of the other 3 suspects? Just curious.
Can we get an update on the status of this case against Cameron Hill? Have there been additional arrests? Is he still be held in the Clark County Detention Center? Please advise.
According to the Clark County Detention Center Website, he is still awaiting his next hearing scheduled for April 9 at 1 p.m.
Thank you. Can you update us on the status of the Police investigation into other possible arrests?
Kudos to our police department! Thank you for arresting this man and for your diligent service to our community!
This man should have been caught more than a month ago, when my daughter and son-in-law pointed the finger @ this man who lived a few houses from them, and he robbed them as his first victims. Many families were robbed because of the slow action of the local police.
Did your publication cover Cameron Hill’s hearing in Las Vegas today? Or was it held here in Mesquite. I hope the judge did not reduce his bail and let him out?
Any news out of Cameron Hill’s rescheduled hearing that occurred on April 23rd? Was the hearing held in Las Vegas or Mesquite?
