In loving memory of Jesse Marsh, 77, of Mesquite, NV. He began his heavenly journey peacefully from his home surrounded by family and friends, Friday December 19, 2014.
He was born May 13, 1937 to Willie and Mary Alice Marsh, and was raised a farm boy in West Mississippi. At the young age of 18 he joined the Air Force, which he chose to pursue as his life’s career. He proudly served in Vietnam from 1967 to 1968. He retired from the Air Force in 1975.
After his military retirement he moved to Las Vegas to pursue a career in the gaming industry. In 1992 he worked in security at the Peppermill/Oasis Casino in Mesquite, NV. This is where he met the love of his life, Marilyn. They were married on Aug. 15, 1995 in the CasaBlanca gazebo near the waterfalls. He worked security at the Players Island/CasaBlanca and at the Eureka.
He was a wonderful husband, father and friend. He was an active member of the VFW, VVA, American Legion and president of the HOA. He loved being involved in the community and would lend a helping hand to anyone in need. He is very much loved and will highly be missed by family, friends and the community of Mesquite.
He is survived by his wife of 19 years, Marilyn Marsh, three daughters, five grandsons, three granddaughters and two great-grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by his parents and his brother.
A memorial service will be held at the United Methodist Church 420 N. Pioneer Blvd on Sat., Jan. 17, 2015 at 12 p.m. A reception will follow in the church fellowship hall, with special thanks to the Eureka Casino.
