Editor’s note: The following was taken from the pages of the Mesquite Police Department blotter for Nov. 23 – 29, 2014.

Nov. 23:

Found Property: An officer was dispatched to the police department in reference to a found property call.

TPO/Restraining Order/Subpoena: An officer served an order for protection return of services on a Female Mesquite resident on Kitty Hawk Dr.

TPO/Restraining Order/Subpoena: Mesquite Police Officer served a male subject with dissolve of an Order for Protection on S First West St.

Theft: Officer responded to a W Mesquite Blvd business and took a report of the theft of cash from the business. A report was taken and the theft is under investigation.

Domestic Trouble: Officers were dispatched to a Riverside Rd apartment complex, in reference to a domestic battery.  An adult male subject was later taken into custody.

Traffic Stop: Stopped driver for traffic offenses at Sun Valley Dr & W Mesquite Blvd. Dispatch advised spouse had warrants. Spouse had paper work for ID theft and incident numbers from outside jurisdictions regarding the same information.

Nov. 24:

Theft: Officer responded to a Ben Franklin Way & W Pioneer Blvd construction site on a reported theft, an investigation was initiated.

Agency Assistance: Mesquite Police Responded and assisted Nevada Parole and Probation on a search of a Moss Dr residence.

Alarm: Officers responded to an alarm at a Canyon Crest Blvd church. The building was cleared and secured by key holder.

Theft: Officer responded to a Pulsipher Ln residence for a report of the burglary of some jewelry items from the residence. Information was gathered and a report taken.

Traffic accident W/O injury: Police officer responded to a non-injury accident on Sandhill Boulevard, near Old Mill Road. An accident report was taken and a citation issued.

Traffic Accident w/ Damage: Officer responded to a property damage call on E Old Mill Rd and a report was taken.

Lost Property: An officer responded to a report of a lost wallet on Hillside Dr.

Theft: Police responded to a theft at a Mesa Blvd residence. A report was taken and officers are attempting to locate the suspect(s).

Nov. 25:

Burglary: Officer responded to a report of a burglary at a Mesquite Springs Dr storage shed. No items were reported missing, but damage to the door frame was documented.

Unknown Problem: Officers were dispatched to a W Mesquite Blvd bank in reference to a 911 hang-up call.

Burglary: Officer responded to a reported burglary at a Mesa Blvd storage unit. Not items were reported missing, but damage to the door/frame was documented.

Suspicious Person/Circumstance: Officers responded to a report of a suspicious male going door to door on Palos Verdes Dr. Neighborhood was circulated, but male was gone on arrival.

Suicidal Person: Officers responded to a W Pioneer Blvd business on a report of a suicidal male. Contact was made with the male who was cooperative and voluntarily transported by ambulance to the hospital for evaluation.

Traffic accident W/O injury: An officer was dispatched to S Grapevine Rd, in reference to a minor traffic accident.

Hit & Run: Officer responded to a Parkview Dr residence for a hit and run property accident.

Burglary: Officer was dispatched to a Mesa Blvd residence that had a storage shed broken into. The incident had been previously reported and the scene was processed. A report was taken.

Nov. 26:

Suspicious Person/Circumstance: Officer took a report of suspicious activity at her residence.

Controlled Substance Problem: Officers responded to a 911 Hang-up call on Beacon Ridge Way. Drugs were located on a subject at the location. The subject was cited and released for possession of drugs and drug paraphernalia.

Traffic Accident w/ Damage: Officers responded to a hit and run accident on E Mesquite Blvd.  One of the vehicles involved was stolen out of Utah.  Officers recovered the vehicle.

Traffic accident W/O injury: Officers responded to a two vehicle accident without injuries on N Sandhill Blvd.

Domestic Trouble: Verbal dispute on E Pioneer Blvd between boyfriend and girlfriend. Girlfriend left the area and stayed at family’s place of residence in Mesquite.

Nov. 27:

Theft: Officers responded to a N Sandhill Blvd grocery store, reference theft. Investigation resulted with the grocery store declining charges against the person for theft of a turkey on Thanks Giving Day.

Nov. 28:

Minor Possessing/Consuming: Officers responded to a W Mesquite Blvd casino in reference to juveniles consuming alcohol. Officer arrived on scene, completed the investigation, and cited the two individuals for consumption of alcohol.

Found Property: During a traffic stop at Turtleback Rd & W Pioneer Blvd a male turned over property he found earlier in the day.

Nov. 29:

Trespassing: Officers responded to a Mesa Blvd casino reference a trespass violator.

Fighting: Officers responded to a Mesa Blvd casino reference a bar fight. Officers arrested two minors for minor consumption of alcohol.

Minor Possessing/Consuming: An officer responded to an E Pioneer Blvd casino reference a minor consuming alcohol and gambling.

Alarm: An officer responded to a false alarm at a Riverside Rd business. Building was found to be secure. Owner was notified.

Alarm: An officer responded to the middle school for an alarm in the gym area. Officer found a basketball game in progress.

Citizen Assist: Officer responded to the police station on a citizen assist by telephone.

Theft: An officer responded to a W Mesquite Blvd convenience store for a report of petit larceny. A male subject was identified by video surveillance. The male subject was located and issued a citation.

Stolen Property: Officer responded to a report of a lost or stolen license plate on Charles St and a report was completed.

Suspicious Person/Circumstance: An officer was dispatched to a Hillside Dr park in reference to a suspicious situation.

Business or License Problem: Officers responded to the area of Hafen Lane and Grapevine Road for a report of two males going door to door selling magazines, without business license. The involved males were located on Clark St and a warning was issued.

Animal Pickup: Officer responded to a Jacaranda Way residence to pick up a stray dog. Dog was brought to the shelter without incident.

Suspicious Person/Circumstance: Officers responded to a Reber Dr neighborhood reference suspicious males walking door to door. Officers contacted an adult male, who stated he was selling magazines. The male and his supervisor were warned about operating without a business license, and they left the area.

Domestic Trouble: Police responded to a domestic dispute at a Canyon View Way residence. One adult male was arrested for domestic battery and booked into the Mesquite Detention Center.

Intoxicated Person: Police responded to a disorderly male at a Colleen Ct residence. The adult male agreed to leave for the night to sober up.
