The Beaver Dam eaglets begin each day with opening activities on the playground. A part of these activities includes the daily recitation; eagles are respectful, responsible, and safe! This is the environment in which they can confidently work and learn. An integral part of their education involves being respectful. Respect is a virtue which leads to being a good citizen.

The eaglets have many opportunities to show respect. Before the student of the month awards were announced, Mrs. Stevens’ first and second grade class shared some examples of being respectful.  A respectful student is one who does the right thing whether or not someone is watching.  A respectful student opens the door for the person whose arms are full. A respectful student stands up straight while reciting the Pledge of Allegiance.  A respectful student listens to and obeys his or her parents.

Chosen by their teachers, the following students have received the student of the month award for being respectful: Andy Jauregui and Daniel Enriquez (kindergarten), Neri Avila (first grade), Angel Gomez and Victor Martinez (second grade), Emma Gonzales (third grade), Kade Erdmann and Kimberly Soto (fourth grade), Pilar Villegas (fifth grade), and Breahanna Reed (sixth grade),

A big eagle salute goes out to these fine students for being respectful!
