As posted on it’s Facebook page, the Mesquite Police Department made an arrest recently of a couple of people who tried to pay for a few things recently with movie prop money. 
It’s not illegal to own that if you’re making a movie, but it is very illegal to pretend it’s real and attempt to make purchases.
When officers arrested the felonious fraudsters, they also had a stolen credit card, meth, fentanyl, and other opiates in their possession. Officers swiftly sent them on their way to CCDC with a few very real felony charges.
