U.S. Rep. Steven Horsford

Every year millions of dollars in Pell Grants go unclaimed by Nevada students because they fail to fill out the FAFSA.

This year Congresswoman Dina Titus, Congresswoman Susie Lee and Congressman Steven Horsford are competing in the Silver State FAFSA Faceoff, sponsored by the Nevada State Treasurer’s Office, to see which congressional district can get more free money for college for their high school seniors.

There are 22 days left for high school seniors in Nevada to complete their Free Application for Federal Student Aid for the Silver State FAFSA Faceoff. The rules for the competition are simple: whichever Representative gets the highest percentage of high school seniors to complete a FAFSA in their district by June 30, 2022 wins the Complete to Compete title.

As of May 27, Congresswoman Susie Lee is in the lead with 4338 FAFSA completed. To track the progress of the competition please visit: nevada.fafsatracker.com/faceoff.
