Athletics & Leisure Services Active & Fit Program

The City of Mesquite Department of Athletics and Leisure Services has added another health care amenity to our programs through ASH. We’ve added another nation’s leading community fitness program specifically designed for Ages 18 – 64, Active & Fit, which promotes greater health engagement and accountability by providing members with regular exercise, strength training, aerobics, flexibility and social opportunities at more than 10,000 locations nationwide.

Active & Fit:  

• Active & Fit covers 130 million people nationwide through (ASH).
• For commercial health plan-eligible members and employer groups ages 18 – 64.
• Monthly membership reimbursement for your participation in the program to the facility.

Nicholas Montoya, Director of Athletics & Leisure Services, notes “With the successful history of our Life Long Fitness Program and activities, we have designed the program to address the greatest health barriers older adults’ face today and the new challenges they’ll encounter tomorrow. Our instructors and staff are excited for the addition of the Active & Fit program, the NEW program for the 18 – 64 adult will start July 1, 2021.” Montoya added. By adding this 4th Health Care provider, we now have the following choices for the younger and older adult and if they have these insurance carriers:

Silver Sneakers (Tivity)

Renew Active (Optum)

Silver & Fit (American Specialty Health)

Active & Fit (American Specialty Health) New Program
