Dec. 26, 1912:  Last night the Dramatic Club put on the play called The Spy of Gettysburg.  The characters all did well, and the play was liked very well by all who saw it.

Jan. 1, 1915, Littlefield, AZ:  Holidays passed off very quietly here, most of the young folks went to Mesquite to spend holidays.  A horse race between Mesquite and Littlefield was ran, the Littlefield horse coming out ahead.

Dec. 29, 1995:  In a news item in the last issue about the extensive damage to the three golf courses in the area, the amount of damage was listed at $1 million.  Officials are thinking more in the $3-400,000 area.  What took the damage out of the “boys will be boys” prank stage and into the “big boys” stage was the use of a flammable fuel, and, authorities say, other chemicals were also used to destroy the greens.

Dec. 31, 1921:  Most of the people from here who are working at the Jip mine came in for holidays on account of it being too stormy to work there and parts of the mill had to be repaired.  Yesterday and today several men were hauling gravel on the main street through town. The mud is so deep the road can scarcely be traveled.
