Mesa View Regional Hospital, The City of Mesquite Nevada, Valley Pediatric Dental and the Chamber partnered up to bring the community the first ever Mesquite Area Health & Wellness Festival.
The family friendly event will take place in the Gymnasium of the Mesquite Recreation Center on Saturday, Oct. 26 with opening ceremonies by the Mesquite Veteran’s and Mayor Al Litman beginning at 8:30 a.m.
The public will have a chance to meet with many of the new health care providers Mesa View has to offer. Mesa View will be offering BP tests and information demonstrations though out the day with over 50 vendors participating.
Once held as the Veteran’s Health Fair in Sun City, veterans are still welcome to receive their free flu shots, Glucose testing and Lipid Panels as always.
There will be a kid’s corner with face painting and balloon artistry and everyone is welcome to a free lunch cooked by Mesquite Fire and Rescue workers courtesy of Mesa View Regional Hospital.
It’s that time of year when the ghouls and goblins come calling on the Eureka Community Initiative’s ShreekReeka. On Oct. 30, grab your costumes and come for some treats. The event is always free to the community.
ShreekReeka begins at 5 p.m. with the Trick-or-Treat spectacular. There are more ghosts, more ghouls and more candy and games galore to be played in their haunted outdoor booths. They hope you’re not too scared to visit the ShreekReeka’s haunted house, they even dare you; don’t delay too long, the event ends at 8 p.m.
