Sept. 29:

Civil Matter: Officer responded to a civil matter at a local hotel.

Theft: Officers responded to a reported theft at a hotel.  Information was collected to complete the report, no suspect information at this time.

Fraud: Officers responded to a report of counterfeit money being passed at a hardware store.  Evidence was collected for report, no suspect information at this time.

Agency Assistance: Officers responded down by the Virgin River for a female acting suspicious. Upon arrival a female had taken an unknown substance. After being checked out by medical she was transported to Mesa View Hospital.

Agency Assistance: Officer responded to a residence to assist Mesquite Fire and Rescue with a

deceased adult male.

Sept. 30:

Fighting: Officers responded to a casino reference a reported fight. One adult male was arrested for an active warrant.

Controlled Substance Problem: suspected methamphetamine and drug paraphernalia inside the vehicle. One male was arrested for trafficking a schedule one narcotic and illegal possession of drug paraphernalia.

Parking Problem: An officer left a warning notice on an unregistered trailer left on the side of the roadway.

Background Investigation: A Detective completed a business liquor license background investigation.

Found Property: Officer took report of found property at the DMV.

Threatening: Officers responded to a reported threatening at a casino involving a

service dog.  After speaking with the complainant, it was determined no crime had been committed.

Property Damage, Non-Vandalism: Officers responded to an apartment complex reference property damage. This investigation is still ongoing.

Traffic Stop: An officer conducted a traffic stop for traffic related offenses. During the stop the officer observed an open container of alcohol in the vehicle. One female was cited and released for the open container.

Controlled Substance Problem: An officer conducted a traffic stop for traffic related offenses. During the

stop the officer observed a duffel bag in plain view containing what appeared to be a bulk amount of marijuana. Upon investigation the officer discovered 21 pounds of marijuana, ecstasy, and oxycodone. One male and two females were arrested for illegal possession of marijuana, possession of a scheduled one narcotic, and possession of a scheduled two narcotic.

Verbal Disturbance: Officers were dispatched to a residence for a verbal fight. One male was arrested for possession of drug paraphernalia and booked into the city detention center.

Oct. 1:

Sex Offender Verification: Officer attempted to verify the address of a registered offender. Officer was advised that the offender had lived at the address for weeks.

Threatening: Officers respond to local casino for a report of physical threats being made against employees. The investigation lead to one of the employees who was threatened is married to the suspect. The suspect has been threatening her with death and bodily harm. A male was taken into custody.

Oct. 2:

Wanted Person: Officer arrested an adult male with an active Mesquite Municipal Court warrant.

Suspicious Person: Officers contacted an adult male who had a warrant for his arrest out of

Mesquite Municipal court. The male stated he had cash enough to pay off his warrant. He was escorted to Mesquite Municipal Court where he paid his fine and was free to go.

Threatening: Officers responded to a local address on a reported threatening. Information was gathered for initial report.

TPO Violation: Officers took a report via telephone of a violation of a court order.

Fraud: Officers responded to a local business, for a report of an attempted fraud.

Person on Foot: Officers contacted a male. At the end of the investigation the male was placed under arrest.

Oct. 3:

Suicide: Officers responded to a residence reference a 911 hang up. Officers entered the residence to check the welfare. Officers found one adult male in need of medical attention. Mesquite Fire and Rescue responded, and the male was flown to a trauma center due to his injuries.

Controlled Substance Problem: Officers recovered medication from a citizen that was found on the roadway.

Threatening: An adult male stated to an employee that he would not let his girlfriend work there because security does not carry firearms. He stated it would be easy for someone to come in and shoot a lot of people. Officers followed up on the investigation and determined that the male was not threatening. He only made the statement as to why he would not let his girlfriend work there.

TPO Violation: Officers responded to a residence reference a violation of a protective order.

Missing Person: Officers took a report for a 51-year-old female that has not been heard from in nearly 2 weeks. She was listed in NCIC as a missing person.

DUI: Officers conducted a traffic stop on a vehicle involved in a previous incident. One adult male was arrested for driving under the influence.

Threatening: Officers responded a threatening call, but unable to locate the suspect involved. All efforts are being made to locate and arrest the suspect.

Suspicious Person: Officers spoke with a female in reference to a possible domestic situation.

 

Trespassing: Officers responded to a local business in reference of a welfare check. One male adult was arrested for trespassing.

Theft: Officer responded to a casino in reference to possible theft. One male adult was cited and released for defrauding an inn keeper.

Oct. 4:

Wanted Person: One adult female was arrested for an active warrant out of Mesquite Municipal

Court.

Fighting: Officers responded to the reports of a fight in progress that involved multiple subjects. Officers spoke with two victims who were able to identify the suspects who committed battery upon them. Officers will attempt to locate the suspects to issue their citations.

Trespassing: Officers responded to a casino reference a trespass violator. One adult male was issued a citation for trespassing and released.

Burglary: Officers took a report for a Burglary that occurred at a Mesa Blvd. residence while the

owners were gone. A neighbor witnessed the burglary and was able to identify the suspect.

Theft: Officers responded to a gas station reference a theft. The case is still currently being investigated.

Property Damage, Non-Vandalism: Officers responded to a residence and took a report of property damage due to flooding from another apartment.

Oct. 5:

Controlled Substance Problem: Officers contacted a male and female inside a casino. After an

investigation one adult female was arrested for possession of a controlled substance and other drug related charges. One adult male was arrested for a warrant out of North Las Vegas.
