Some calls that Mesquite Fire and Rescue receives are not always included in the report, as a synopsis is not received. To show the amount of work our Fire and Rescue workers do, we are including a weekly roster of stats. The Mesquite Fire Department received 57 calls this week.

Sept. 22:

Gas Leak: Truck 11, Engine 31, Rescue 32 were dispatched to the report of a propane leak outside a residence. Leak was contained.

Back Pain: Rescue 31 and Rescue 32 were dispatched for a report of back pain, rescue 31 transported one patient to Dixie Regional Medical Center.

Sept. 23:

Pregnancy: Rescue 31 evaluated a pregnant female for dizziness. Patient refused transport and signed out Against Medical Advice.

Overdose: Rescue 31 and Rescue 32 responded for a possible overdose. It was determined that the patient had not taken an inappropriate amount of pill and they refused care and transport.

Sept. 24:

Breathing: Rescue 32 and Rescue 11 responded to report of breathing problems. One Patient was transported to Mesa View Regional Hospital.

Cardiac Arrest: Rescue 31 and Rescue 32 responded to reports of a Cardiac Arrest. Person was found to be deceased.

Sept. 25:

Suspicious:  Rescue 11 responded to the reports of a person having abnormal behavior. Patient was treated and transported to Mesa View Regional.

Psychiatric: Agency assist with Nevada Highway Patrol. Patient was treated and transported to Mesa View Regional.

Sept. 26:

Convulsions: Rescue 11 and Rescue 32 responded for a person having seizures. Patient signed out against medical advice. All units available

Assault/Sexual Assault: Rescue 11 responded to an assault victim. Patient was treated and refused transport to the hospital.

Sept. 27:

Cardiac Arrest: Rescue 11, Rescue 31, Rescue 32 and Batalion 3 responded to the reports of a cardiac arrest. Resuscitation attempts were made. No return of spontaneous circulation.

Psychiatric: Rescue 31 and Rescue 32 responded to a report of a Psychiatric Problem. One patient was transported to Mesa View Hospital.

Sept. 28:

Stroke (CVA): Rescue 11 and Rescue 32 were dispatched for a possible stroke, one patient was transported to Mesa View Regional Hospital.

Public Assistance: Engine 31 aid a local resident with an alarm malfunction.
