You can be part of a great community service project at the Women’s History & Culture Center. Join other community members on Service Day Saturday while they paint by numbers, a mural on the outside of the WHC&C. Painting begins at 8 a.m., all are welcome.
The Virgin Valley Amateur Radio Club holds meetings on the third Tuesday of each month at the airport fire station #2 from 6:00 pm to 7:00 pm. All hams interested in joining our group and all visitors are welcome. For further information, phone Roy Miller at 702-345-3006.
The VVHS Choir and Orchestra “Finale” concert and senior showcase will be presented at the
VVHS Auditorium at 6:30pm on Thursday, May 16. The musicians have recently participated in the Clark County School District Festival, and the Orchestra will include numbers from that competition in their concert, as well as performing jazz/blues tunes. The Chamber Ensemble Group plays a sole and ensemble piece, and there will be three senior small ensembles and solos. The Choir will perform familiar songs including, “My Girl, My Guy,” “Happy Together,” “The Longest Time,” and others. Choir seniors will be featured in the number, “Some Nights,” and “I Was Here.” (Linda Faas)
