“These two old broads are ready to play,” Coleyne Angel told the Mesquite Local News when she announced the closing of the Have Boutique Will Travel women’s clothing store.
Angel and her partner Dorothy McMurray opened the store in November 2011 and have helped supply beautiful outfits for many fundraising fashion shows in Mesquite since.
“It’s been a good run and we’ve had a good partnership,” Angel said. “But I’m turning 80 years old in a few months and we’re both ready to relax and not work.”
Along with 50 percent discounts on all remaining clothing, jewelry, shoes, and accessories, McMurray said the racks, fixtures, and even the store itself is for sale beginning Thursday, Jan. 21.
Angel said that the decision to close the Boutique was not related to the economy “although we’ve seen a distinct drop in customers the last few months.”
Angel says she’s going to spend most of her new-found time “on the Gulf Coast beaches of Mexico.”
The store, located at 41 N. Arrowhead Lane, will close by May 31 or when all the inventory is gone.
