Community members are invited to meet with Andy Barton, Mesquite City Manager, at 8 a.m. Thursday, Feb. 21. This forum will be held at the Mesquite Fine Arts Gallery, located at 15 West Mesquite Blvd. It is open to all residents and light refreshments will be provided.
Community forums are open to the public and are an opportunity for residents to ask questions, voice concerns or just meet the city manager.

Straight out of the Coral Desert in Southern Utah, the Native Grass Band is known for their ability to write entertaining original songs and tunes in a unique and distinctive style. Native Grass has thrilled audiences at major venues such as the Kayenta Arts Theater in Ivins UT, Logandale Nevada Bluegrass Festival, KARMA Fest, The Electric Theater in St. George, Blythe CA Bluegrass Festival, North Event Center in Orderville UT, and now they intend thrill you at the Mesquite Community Theatre on Saturday night. The Southern Nevada Symphony Orchestra is performing at the CasaBlanca Showroom Saturday night at 7 p.m. Special guests include soloist Christian Bohnenstengel and Conductor Bill Long. Tickets start at $17 each and can be obtained by calling 877-438-2929.
On Wednesday you can learn about the world of nature around us and how we can peacefully coexist within it. In the Friends of Gold Butte Speaker Series, a new and exciting topic with be discussed each month.
Admission is always FREE to the public. Donations to Friends of Gold Butte can be made before or after each presentation and are greatly appreciated.
