Many calls that the Police Department receives are not always included in the blotter, as they are under investigation or a synopsis is not received. To show the amount of work our PD does do, we are including a weekly roster of stats. This week, there were 156 total incidents in the blotter:

Mental person: Officers responded to a Pulsipher Ln. residence for a report of a possible domestic. Upon their arrival they assisted a male with getting a help for a situation he was dealing with. No domestic.

Property damage, non-vandalism: An officer took a report for a broken window at an E. Pioneer Blvd. hotel.

Robbery: Officer responded to a Robbery in Progress at an E. Pioneer Blvd. business, suspect had fled the area prior to arrival.  Officers later located and arrested the suspect.

Found Property: Officers responded on a report of found property. The property located was a pellet gun, and was booked as found property.

Traffic Stop: An officer conducted a traffic stop on a vehicle for a moving violation. A passenger of the vehicle was cited and released for open container.

Phone Harassment: Officers responded to an E. Mesquite Blvd. residence reference a threatening call. The adverse party does not live in Mesquite but is capable of driving to Mesquite to carry out the threat. Officers are working with the agency were the adverse party lives to resolve the situation.

Trespassing: An officer responded to a Riverside Rd. business reference a trespass violator. An adult male was arrested for trespassing.

Animal complaint: Officer responded to a Mesa Springs Dr. residence for a report of an animal bite. A report was taken and this incident will be forwarded to Animal Control.

Hit & Run: Officer responded to a hit and run accident in a Mesquite sub division. Upon investigation, the vehicle which left the scene returned. The driver was identified and insurance information was exchanged.

Feb. 5:

Disorderly conduct: Officers responded to a breach of peace call at a Mesa Blvd. casino. The suspect had crossed the street to another casino and was calling on his cell phone to security and complaining about being “T.A.M.”.

Trespassing: An officer responded to a Mesa Blvd. casino for a report of an intoxicated male who was refusing to leave property. The male subject was arrested for trespassing.

Welfare check: Detectives responded to assist CPS with a welfare check.

Fraud: Officers responded to a fraud call. The reporting person willingly transferred money to a another state. The reporting person stopped sending money when he realized it was a scam.

Theft: Officers responded to a W. Pioneer Blvd. business in reference to a theft. An adult male had an outstanding bench warrant out of Mesquite Municipal Court. The male was arrested for the warrant and the theft.

Feb. 6:

Search warrant: Mesquite Swat Team executed a search warrant on Center Green Dr.Civil matter: Officer took a report of theft of appliances from a rental home. PropertyManagement provided documentation and an incident was created.Abandoned vehicle: Officer responded to a complaint of several abandoned vehicles on N. Yucca St. Officer observed vehicles with flat tires, cobwebs, debris, unregistered and expired plates. 24 hour parking stickers were placed on the driver’s side windows advising vehicles would be towed at owner’s expense if not moved within the 24 hour period.Theft: Officers responded to a W. Pioneer Blvd. business reference a theft. An adult male was arrested for petit larceny.Missing person: Officers responded to a missing person call. The RP last saw her brother over a year ago in Las Vegas. Dispatch entered welfare to the missing person’s name table. Officers advise the RP to contact Las Vegas Metropolitan Police Department to enter the missing person into NCIC as a missing person, due to that being his last known residence.Found property: A citizen found a handbag at a city park. Officers booked the handbag into the evidence vault as found property to be released to the owner.

Domestic trouble: Officers responded to a physical domestic dispute at a Moss Dr. residence. Upon arrival the couple had separated. The wife went to her parents with two children and the husband fled the scene. Investigation shows there was physical contact between the two and the husband is a person of interest.

Feb. 7:

Trespassing: Officers responded to a W. Mesquite Blvd.  casino for an individual who had been previously trespassed. The male subject was arrested for trespassing and resisting arrest.

Controlled substance problem: Officers responded to the Mesquite Detention Center reference a female reporting a suspicious package that was delivered to her home. One male was taken into custody for possession of drug paraphernalia.

Traffic stop: Detectives arrested a male who had a felony warrant out of District Court, Clark County, Nevada.

DUI: Officer responded to a report of property damage at a Falcon Ridge Pkwy business. One adult male was arrested for DUI, open container, and property damage.

Feb. 8:

Theft: Officer received a report of shoplifting. One suspect is identified and the investigation was forwarded to detectives.Wanted person: Officers conducted a traffic stop for a cell phone violation. One male was taken into custody for an active warrant.Traffic stop: An officer stopped a vehicle for a moving violation.  The driver was arrested for a felony controlled substance offense and the passenger was cited and released for an alcohol offense.Feb.9:Domestic violence: Officers were dispatched to a local residence, in reference to a domestic in progress.  An adult female subject was taken arrested for domestic battery.Wanted person: Officers responded to a Mesa Blvd. casino reference a possible fugitive from justice out of Utah. One male and one female were taken into custody.Traffic accident w/o injury: Officers responded to a traffic collision with reported injuries. One adult male was cited for traffic related offenses.Domestic violence: Officers responded to a Moss Dr. domestic violence incident.  Upon arrival, officers conducted an investigation and subsequently placed one subject under arrest for domestic battery.Trespassing: Officer responded to a Mohave Dr. residence reference a trespass in progress. One adult male was cited and released.Feb. 10:Domestic violence: Officers responded to a night club reference a possible domestic battery. Officers spoke with an intoxicated female who stated she had an argument with her boyfriend; however, they did not become physical with each other.Domestic violence: Officers responded to a report of possible gun shots heard from inside a Gene St. residence. Officers determined no weapons were involved and the noise was items being thrown around inside the residence. One male subject was taken into custody for domestic violence.Traffic accident w/o injury: Dispatched to private property accident. On arrival, drivers informed me (Woodmancy) that V2 was turning from the eastbound lane on the parking lot to the southbound lane. As it did so, V1 backed out of the handicapped parking space, striking V2. V1 had minor damage to the rear bumper and right rear quarter panel. V2 has minor scratches and dents to the right side. Insurance information forms were completed and exchanged. Nothing further to report.Stolen property: Officer responded to a report of a stolen vehicle. The investigation is ongoing.Petit larceny: Officers responded to a shoplifting in progress. One adult male was arrested for petit larceny, property damage/vandalism, and obstruction.
