On Feb. 9, the Mesquite Toes Tap Team held their annual Fashion Show at the Mesquite Elk’s Club. Models displayed clothing from local vendors such as Stephen’s Hair etc. & Boutique, His & Hers Fashions and Stage.

Before the fashionable models stepped out in front of the crowd, guests were treated to a champagne luncheon. 50/50, and raffle with gifts donated from local businesses.

The atmosphere was jovial as the ladies paraded the fashions of various local businesses among the guests, some taking just a little bit more time to show off some bling as well. Models were decked out, accessorized and looked quite stunning as they gave each guest an up close and personal view of the outfits.

Don’t forget the Toes next fundraiser ‘Love Letters’ at the Community Theater on Friday, Feb. 15, at 7 p.m. and Feb. 16 at 2 and 7 p.m.

Featured in the play are Bunny Wiseman and Paul Benedict who have been performing the roles of Melissa Gardner and Andrew Makepeace Ladd III for several years. The play, written by A.R. Gurney, is a Pulitzer Prize nominated drama. It is based on letters written by the characters that span 50 years and nobody plays the roles as well as Wiseman and Benedict. The show is a must see, bring your sweetheart and make it a date.

Tickets are $10 and are available at the Mesquite Art Gallery or the theater box office. Saturday’s matinee offers lunch at Cucina Italiana plus the show for $20 for a limited number.
