Some calls that Mesquite Fire and Rescue receives are not always included in the report, as a synopsis is not received. To show the amount of work our Fire and Rescue workers do, we are including a weekly roster of stats. There were 51 calls this week:

Feb. 3:

Stroke (CVA): Rescue 11, Rescue 32 and Rescue 31 responded to a stroke victim. One patient was transported to local hospital.

Burns/Explosion:  Rescue 31 responded to a burn victim. Person refused treatment and transport and signed refusal form.

Feb. 4:

MVA with Injury:  Rescue 11 and Engine 31 responded to a motor vehicle accident. Person was treated but refused transport, person signed refusal form.

Diabetic:  Rescue 11 and Rescue 32 responded to a reported diabetic emergency. One person was transported to local hospital.

Feb. 5:

Psychiatric:  Rescue 31 dispatched to a report of a patient requesting Psychiatric evaluation. One patient transported to a local hospital.

Sick person: Rescue 11 responded to assisted living facility for a report of a Sick patient. One patient was transported to a local hospital.

Feb. 6:

Choking:  Rescues 11 and 32 responded to a report of someone choking. The patient refused medical care and signed out against medical advice.

Fire alarm:  Rescue 11 and Engine 31 dispatched to Elementary School for fire alarm

activation. Verified accidental pull station activation and system was reset.

Feb. 7:

Unconscious:  Rescues 11 and 32 responded to a report of an unconscious person. Patient signed

out against medical advice.

Diabetic:  Rescue 31 responded to report of a diabetic problem. Patient signed out against medical advice.

Feb. 8:

Cardiac arrest: Rescue 11 and Rescue 32 responded to report of someone in cardiac arrest. On arrival Rescue 11 realized it was an obvious death and it was too late for resuscitation efforts.

Convulsions:  Rescue 11 and 32 responded to reports of a person having seizures at the Virgin

River Casino. Upon arrival, the patient was completely alert and oriented and refused transport to the hospital.

Feb. 9:

Hemorrhage:  Rescue 31 responded to a possible injury. Person was evaluated and refused treatment and transport, Person signed refusal form.

Heart problem: Rescue 11 and Rescue 32 responded to report of a heart problem. Patient signed out against medical advice.
