Many calls that the Police Department receives are not always included in the blotter, as they are under investigation or a synopsis is not received. To show the amount of work our PD does do, we are including a weekly roster of stats. There were 126 calls this week:

Dec. 23:

Wanted person: Officer located a female subject with an active warrant. The female was taken into custody for the warrant.

Graffiti: Officer responded to a report of graffiti.

Abandoned vehicle: Officers had an abandoned vehicle towed from a public roadway.

Theft: Officers responded to a business on a report of theft. One male was arrested for petit larceny and a warrant out of Mesquite Justice court.

Domestic violence: An adult female was arrested for domestic battery. She was transported to the jail and booked for the charge.

Lost property: Report was completed for lost property.

Dec. 24:

Domestic violence: Officers responded to a residence on a report of a domestic. One female was arrested for domestic battery and disturbing the peace.

Traffic accident w/o injury: Officer responded to vehicle vs light pole at local casino.

Trespassing: Officer responded to a casino reference a trespass incident. An adult female was issued a citation for trespassing.

Traffic stop: Officer conducted a traffic stop on a vehicle for a moving violation One adult male was arrested for a traffic offense.

Dec. 25:

Minor gambling: Officers responded to a call of minor gambling at an E. Pioneer Blvd. casino. One adult minor was cited for minor gambling.

Phone harassment: Officer responded to a report of harassment. The RP wanted the actions of a female who has been harassing her documented.

Domestic trouble: Officers responded to a residence on a domestic call. One female was arrested for domestic battery and disturbing the peace.

Battery on person: Officers were called to a local casino for a intoxicated patron who grabbed the buttocks of a cocktail waitress. Waitress signed a complaint and patron was cited and released.

Dec. 26:

Traffic stop: Officer conducted a traffic stop for a traffic violation. Officer smelled an odor of an alcoholic beverage coming from the driver. The driver preformed field sobriety test. Due to the results of the field sobriety test the driver was arrested for driving under the influence of alcohol and transported to Mesquite Detention Center.

Dec. 27:

Wanted person: Officers responded to a residence of a female with a warrant out of the Mesquite Municipal Court. The female was taken into custody for the warrant.

Custody issue: Officer documented an incident of a custody issue

Phone harassment: An officer responded to residence on a report of harassment.

Dec. 28:

Noise disturbance: Officers responded to a residence reference a noise complaint. Officers heard music and loud talking from the occupants in the residence. Officers advised the occupants of Mesquite’s noise ordinance. The occupants turned the music down and said they will keep their voices down.

Property damage, non-vandalism: Officers responded to a city park on a report of a hit and run accident involving property damage. One male was identified and cited for failing to report damage to property.

 

 

Burglary: Officer took a report of a home invasion at a Pear Tree Ln. residence. The residence was unoccupied however damage was done to the property.

Suspicious person: An officer responded to an Adobe Dr. residence on a report of theft.

Traffic stop: Officers conducted a traffic stop on a vehicle for a traffic violation. One male adult was arrest for DUI-Alcohol.

Dec. 29:

Trespassing: Officers responded to a W. Mesquite Blvd. casino in reference to a trespassing. One male adult was arrested for trespassing.
