Some calls that Mesquite Fire and Rescue receives are not always included in the report, as a synopsis is not received. To show the amount of work our Fire and Rescue workers do, we are including a weekly roster of stats. There were 48 calls this week:

Dec. 23:

Falls:  Rescue 32 responded to a fall victim. One person was assisted.

Falls:  Rescue 31 responded to a fall victim. One person was transported to the local hospital.

Dec. 24:

Sick person:  Rescue 31 was dispatched out to a sick person. Patient was transported to our local hospital.

Trauma:  Rescue 31 responded on a person with a traumatic injury. Patient signed out against medical advice.

Dec. 25:

Convulsions:  Rescue 11 and Rescue 32 dispatched to the report of convulsions. One person was transported to the local hospital.

Patient transport:  Rescue 31 dispatched to a inter-facility transport. One person was transported to the local St. George hospital.

Dec. 26:

Unconscious:  Rescues 11 and 31 responded to a report of an unconscious person. Patient refused transport to the hospital and signed out against medical advice.

Falls:  Rescue 11 responded to a report of someone falling. No injuries reported. Provided lift assist only.

Dec. 27:

Unconscious:  Rescue 31 and Engine 31 responded to report of an unconscious person at a local casino. Rescue 31 transported one patient to a local hospital.

Fire alarm: Engine 31, Truck 11, Rescues 31 and 32 responded to report of a fire alarm at a local grocery store. A dusty smoke detector was found to be the cause.

Dec. 28:

Breathing:  Rescue 11 and Engine 31 responded to reports of a person having difficulty breathing. One patient was transported to a local hospital.

Vehicle fire:  Engine 31 and Engine 11 responded to reports of a semi-trailer fire on I-15. Upon arrival, the fire was already extinguished and fire crews escorted the semi-truck driver to the next freeway exit.

Dec. 29:

Breathing:  Rescue 31 and Rescue 32 responded to a reported person having difficulty breathing. One patient was transported to local hospital in St. George UT.

Sick person:  Rescue 11 responded to a reported sick person. Person signed medical refusal to treatment and transport.
