Many calls that the Police Department receives are not always included in the blotter, as they are under investigation or a synopsis is not received. To show the amount of work our PD does do, we are including a weekly roster of stats. There were 133 calls this week:

Dec. 16:

Fraud: Caller stated he received emails of charges that had been made to his card in two different locations.

Theft from person: Responded to a business on the report of a lost wallet. Upon arrival it was determined that the wallet had been taken. No information on the suspect at this time.

Dec. 17:

Vandalism: Officers responded to a casino reference a vandalism call. A report was completed.

Property damage, non -vandalism: Report taken of theft of vehicle charging station power cord.

Wanted person: One adult male was arrested for an active bench warrant out of Mesquite Municipal Court.

Property Damage, non -vandalism: Officers responded to a Kitty Hawk Dr. parking lot reference a hit and run on private property. The suspect vehicle was located. One adult male was issued a citation for failure to report damage to unattended vehicle.

Dec. 28:

Traffic accident W/O injury: Officers responded to a traffic accident involving two vehicles. There were no reported injuries. One adult male was issued a citation for failure to yield the right of way.

Wanted person: One adult male was arrested for an active bench warrant out of Mesquite Municipal Court.

Civil matter: Officers responded to the Mesquite Police Department reference a fraud. The reporting person wanted a report completed as a matter of record.

Suspicious person: Officers responded to the Mesquite Police Department reference a hit and run. A report was completed for insurance purposes.

Phone harassment: A report of phone harassment was investigated and it was determined the caller lived out of state and did not currently have access to any electronics to continue the harassment.

Traffic violation: Report taken of one collision vehicle vs fence with no injuries.

Lost property: Officer responded to a Weeping Rock Tr. residence to take a report of several items which had been misplaced at a local casino.

DUI: An officer conducted a traffic stop and observed signs of impairment. The female adult driver was arrested for DUI.

Traffic stop: An officer conducted a traffic stop that resulted in the arrest of the driver for a warrant.

Dec. 19:

Theft: Officers responded to a Lower Flat Top Mesa Dr. gas station reference a report of embezzlement by an employee. One female was identified and charges are pending at this time.

Theft: An officer was dispatched to a W. Pioneer Blvd. business, in reference to a theft.

Dec. 20:

Wanted person: Officers located a wanted person at a Mesa Blvd. casino, one male adult was arrested on three local warrants.

Court order: Officer responded to a commercial business for a report of a possible temporary protection order violation. Officer spoke to both parties and documented the incident.

Trespassing: An officer responded to an E. Pioneer Blvd. casino reference a report of a trespass violator. A female was cited and released for the offense.

Fraud: An officer responded to the Mesquite Police Department to take a report of identity theft.

Trespassing: Officer responded to a W. Mesquite Blvd. gas station for a request for assistance in trespassing a subject. Officer took one male subject into custody for urinating in public.

Stolen vehicle: Officers took a report of a stolen utility trailer from a Turtle Back Rd.  residence.

Burglary: Officers were dispatched to an Overlook Ln. residence, in reference to a burglary in progress.  An intoxicated adult male subject was arrested for trespassing and breach of peace.

Verbal disturbance: Officers were dispatched to an E. Pioneer Blvd. casino, in reference to a verbal dispute. An adult female subject was taken into custody for a misdemeanor warrant.

Dec. 21:

Fraud: Officers responded to the Mesquite Police Department to take a report of a fraudulent e-mail.

Lost property: Officers took a report of lost property.

Traffic stop: An officer conducted a traffic stop that resulted in traffic citations and a vehicle impound.

Dec. 22:

Domestic trouble: Officers responded to a Burns Ln. residence in reference to a domestic fight, one female adult was arrested for Domestic Battery.

Controlled substance problem: An officer was dispatched to a local casino, in reference to drugs.  An adult female subject was arrested for possession of a controlled substance and possession of drug paraphernalia.

Domestic trouble: Officers responded to a hospital reference a Domestic Battery that occurred at a casino. One adult male was arrested for Domestic Battery and Obstruction of Justice.
