Mesquite resident, Peggy Remaly and spouse purchased this hand-carved eagle after the events of 9/11.  After 19 years and relocation to Mesquite, Peggy wished to have this wonderful eagle go someplace special.  Members of the Mesquite Rotary Club found the perfect home for it at Beaver Dam Elementary School just in time to commemorate the anniversary of this horrific tragedy.  Pictured here are some of the students showing their excitement and appreciation for this addition to their school.  By the way, the eagle just happens to be the school’s mascot.
