A reception was held on Thursday, March 22, for the Virgin Valley Artists Association artists who had pulled out some of their best and brightest work to display at the Mesquite Fine Arts Gallery’s Artist’s Showcase exhibit which will be closing March 31.

Some of the finest work of local artists was on display from paintings to digital are and jewelry for the Artist’s Showcase. Several local artists covered a four by eight-foot space in the gallery which provided an eclectic and colorful floor to ceiling exhibit and kept the guest’s eyes roaming the room. The exhibit was sponsored by the Virgin Valley Artist’s Association and sponsored in part by The Nevada Arts Council, Art Works and the National Endowment for the Arts.

Guests enjoyed a wonderful buffet of hors d’oeuvres served by smiling volunteers as they mingled and met the local artists who were happy to provide the vibrant displays.

All art displayed in the exhibit is for sale so if you are ever on the hunt for that one of a kind gift, stop by and see the wide variety of local artist’s work.

Beginning April 2, you can visit the gallery and get a glimpse of what the combined work of “Artists’ and Poets” can create when some of the best artists team up with some of Mesquite’s best local writers to give vision to their verse.

You can visit the gallery Monday through Thursday from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. and don’t forget the extensive list of art classes, for a variety of mediums, every week.
