On Feb. 4, at approximately 6 a.m., Mesquite Police Officers responded to reports of a robbery at a local gas station.  While en route, officers received a second report of another robbery at a local restaurant which was in close proximity to the gas station.  Both robberies were committed by the same suspect, who had fled the scene prior to officers arriving.  Mesquite police were quickly able to identify the suspect based off of witness accounts and video surveillance.

At approximately 2:30 p.m., officers located a male matching the description of the robbery suspect at a local apartment complex.  The male was positively identified as the robbery suspect and safely taken into custody by Mesquite Police.

Jesus Francisco Rodriguez, 33, of Beaver Dam Arizona, was arrested and charged with: Two felony counts of burglary, one felony count of robbery, one felony count of attempted robbery, one felony count of intimidating a public officer, one misdemeanor count of battery, and one misdemeanor count of petit larceny.

Due to the felony charges, Rodriguez was transported and booked into the Clark County Detention Center in Las Vegas Nevada.
