The Virgin Valley High School volleyball team got revenge Thursday night against Boulder City High School defeating the Eagles in three straight sets. The eagles crushed the Bulldogs earlier in the season 3-0. It was a different story at Boulder City as the determined Bulldogs played some of their best volleyball of the season. The Dawgs won by scores 25-17, 28-26 and 25-18.

In the first set the Dawgs out up 10 kills against a tough Eagle front line. Bernice Fiso led the way with 4 kills. Calee Clem had 9 assists. The second set of the evening showed the durability of the Bulldog gals as they held off the Eagles 28-16. Fiso and Emma Barnum responded with 6 and 4 kills respectively. Clem had 10 assists in the win. Fiso continued her great front line play leading the Dawgs to a 25-18 win with 4 more kills. Fiso had 14 kill during the sets followed by Barnum with 8 kills. Clem had 27 assists and Shalee Hafen added 15 serves and 5 aces in the win.

The Dawgs record went to 4-2 in league and 17-12 overall dead locking the Dawgs with the Eagles for second spot in league play. A strong Moapa Valley team leads the standings with a 6-0 record. The Dawgs travel to Chaparral Tuesday Oct.18 before hosting the Pirates on Thursday Oct. 20. A win over the Pirates would be a huge boost for the Dawgs before tournament play begins.
