Many calls that the Police Department receives are not always included in the blotter, as they are under investigation or a synopsis is not received. To show the amount of work our PD does do, we are including a weekly roster of stats.

Editor’s note: The following was taken from the pages of the Mesquite Police Department blotter for March 8 – 14, 2015.
Property Damage, Non Vandalism: An officer responded to a report of vandalism to a vehicle on Emperor Ln. A report was taken.
Lost Property: Police took a report for a lost bracelet.
Domestic Trouble: Police responded to a domestic dispute at a Ronnie Way residence. One adult female was arrested for domestic battery and booked into the Mesquite Detention Center.
Graffiti: An officer responded to a report of graffiti. Photographs and report were taken.
Traffic Stop: Mesquite Officer conducted a traffic stop on a vehicle regarding a traffic violation on W Pioneer Blvd. The driver was found to have several warrants. The driver was arrested and transported to Mesquite Detention Center.
Dead Body: Police took a report for a death resulting from natural causes on Bobcat Run.
Property Damage, Non Vandalism: Reporting person on Haley Way complained about his garage door being damaged and wanted it reported for a matter of record.
Civil Dispute: Female on Copper Springs Dr called to report she had got into a verbal argument and her husband is destroying all their property.
Traffic accident W/O injury: An officer responded to a traffic accident at the intersection of Hillside Dr & N Sandhill Blvd.
Stolen Property: Officer took custody of a weapon that was stolen from out of state. The weapon was placed into evidence and the reporting agency was contacted.
Traffic accident W/O injury: An officer was dispatched to a W Pioneer Blvd parking lot where a pedestrian was struck by a vehicle. The pedestrian received only a minor abrasion to the elbow.
Trespassing: Officer responded to an E Pioneer Blvd casino for a report of a trespass violator. Subject was issued a citation for trespass violation and released with a court date.
Traffic Accident, w/ Injuries: Officers responded to the intersection of Thistle St & Eagle St for a report of a single vehicle accident. Driver was transported to the hospital and accident report was completed.
Lost Property: Officer took report of a lost/stolen item from an E Pioneer Blvd convenience store.
Trespassing: Officers responded to an E Pioneer Blvd casino reference a trespass violator. An adult female was issued a citation for trespass and released with a court date.
Domestic Trouble: Officers responded to a report of a domestic dispute at a Mesa Blvd casino. An adult male caused property damage and had been in a physical altercation with a family members. The adult male left prior to officers’ arrival. The investigation is ongoing.
Controlled Substance Problem: An officer conducted an investigative stop on a vehicle at W Pioneer Blvd & Auto Mall Circle, and observed evidence of drug use inside the vehicle. Two juveniles were issued citations for possession of marijuana and paraphernalia, and were released to their parents.
