WCFA’s featured pet is Lady a sweet, terrier mix. She is a happy girl that WCFA pulled from a high-intake shelter in Las Vegas to give her a better chance to be adopted. She was groomed on Oct 7 and looks wonderful.  She warms up quickly, walks well on leash and knows the dog door.

Lady enjoys being with people and gets along with dogs in her foster home. She would do well in a home with other gentle dogs. Lady is 8 years young and would like to remain active by enjoying walks and play times.

 Other Available Dogs:

Mindy is a very sweet and happy three year old Chihuahua who came from a high-intake shelter in Las Vegas as a stray.  We took her into foster to give her a better chance of being adopted.

Mindy has a condition called cherry eyes which is the prolapse of the gland of the third eyelid.  It is common in small dogs and more of a cosmetic issue. Mindy is scheduled for surgery on Oct 18 to correct her cherry eyes.  Mindy can be initially shy with men but with gentle interaction, she warms up quickly.  She is happy and very friendly once she is comfortable in her surroundings.  Mindy is doing fine with other dogs in foster care.  Mindy has learned the dog door and has not messed indoors.  Mindy weighs 12 lbs, is spayed, current on vaccinations and is micro-chipped.

Available Cats/kittens:

Patches was born June 25 and is a beautiful calico with grey and orange over white.  She is an American Shorthair which is a good all-around, all-American cat characterized by good temperament, a friendly nature, easy trainability and adaptable personality. You can complete an application on line.

Boo is new to WCFA.  He is 6 years old and declawed, both front and back.  He will be available in a couple of weeks for adoption.  We want to give him time to adjust after having to leave his elderly owners due to their health issues.
