On Sept. 16 in the early morning hours, a Mesquite Patrol Officer while on routine patrol, observed a male at the Virgin River Casino who had an active warrant for his arrest. Officers contacted the male and in the process of taking him into custody for the active warrant located a large amount of crystal methamphetamines hidden in the male’s shoe.
A short time later another officer located the vehicle the suspect had arrived at the casino in and conducted a traffic stop on the vehicle for an equipment violation. While the vehicle was stopped and officers were checking the driver for warrants they deployed their drug sniffing dog which then alerted to the presence of illegal drug odors coming from inside the vehicle. The Officers then checked inside the vehicle and found multiple bags of crystal meth and multiple glass pipes used for smoking meth.
John Sutton
John Sutton, 59, of St. George UT, was arrested and charged with: One felony count of trafficking a controlled substance (meth), one felony count of possession of a controlled substance (meth), and one misdemeanor count of possession of drug paraphernalia (meth pipe). Sutton was also taken into custody and booked on an active warrant for his arrest out of the Mesquite Municipal Court.
Jodi Moss
Jodi Moss, 46, of Ivins Utah, was arrested and charged with: One felony count of trafficking a controlled substance (meth), and one misdemeanor count of possession of drug paraphernalia (meth pipe).
Timothy Barlow, 32, of Colorado City Arizona, was arrested and charged with: Two misdemeanor counts of possession of drug paraphernalia (meth pipe).
Due to the felony charges Sutton and Moss were both transported and booked into the Clark County Detention Center in Las Vegas Nevada.
