August 4, 2016 OVERTON, NV. Low voltage and partial loss of power was initially reported by customers in the Logandale area to the Overton Power District No. 5 after hours on call service on August 3, 2016 at 9:07 PM. Crews were dispatched immediately to locate and assess the situation. The power outage affecting 352 customers was caused after a fuse blew on a 69kV transformer at the Logandale substation due to inclement weather.

At 9:25 PM crews opened two reclosures affecting 322 additional customers, this action was necessary in order to change the transformer fuse and for repairs to be completed. Power was restored to all but 15 customers at 10:04 PM, some additional repairs were required. Power was fully restored at 10:54 PM.
