DOUG ANDERSON MOVES UP 13 PLACES IN TOURNAMENT
The MMGA travelled across town and teed it up at the Conestoga Golf Course on Thursday, July 14. Andrew Yeh played all the way back at 7,232 yards and recorded two bogies on the front nine for 38. He birdied the par three 10th hole which played very difficult with the pin all the way back on the left corner behind the bunker. He had a birdie on 15 but also had a double bogey on 13 and than parred the last three holes for a one over 37 and total 75.
Joe Smith was only five strokes back and recorded the best nine holes of the day with birdies on 2, 3 and 7. He chipped in from off the green on 8 for his par and finished the front side one under par 35. Great nine holes of golf Joe!
Doug Anderson playing from the forward tees shot a very solid round of 42-47-89 for a net 67 for low net honors. With the first place finish Anderson jumped from 24th to 11th place in the summer Fed Ex net tournament. The course got the best of the players as only six shot under 90. Thanks to Scott Balliff and his organization for a great day and wonderful lunch.
