TrafficStopArrest-04-28-16-02 TrafficStopArrest-04-28-16-01On Friday, April 22, an observant officer on routine patrol saw a vehicle traveling on Pioneer Boulevard in Mesquite, which matched the description of a vehicle which had been involved in a theft incident from a local business a couple of days before.

The officer stopped the vehicle and identified the driver as the male suspect of the earlier theft. While speaking with the driver, the officer also observed evidence of drug and alcohol use by both the driver and his female passenger. The driver was found to also have an active warrant for his arrest and was safely taken into custody.

The officer’s investigation then led to illegal drugs, items of drug paraphernalia, and an open container of alcohol inside the vehicle. The officer also found property inside the vehicle which matched items recently stolen from other local businesses within the last few days.

Jeramie O’Conner, 36, of St George Utah, was arrested and charged with: Possession of drugs which may not be introduced into interstate commerce (meth), possession of marijuana, possession of drug paraphernalia, expired driver’s license, expired vehicle registration, and no proof of vehicle insurance.
