The Virgin River bowling center is forming summer bowling leagues and invites the public to join in the fun.

Daytime league:

Wednesdays, starting at 1 p.m. is a 4 Bowlers – Mixed/handicap league from May 25 through July 27 with a Sweeper on Aug. 3.

When it’s too hot to jog, golf, or do yard work spend your Wednesday afternoon in the Bowling Center’s air conditioning while enjoying the friendly competition of league bowling.  Invite your friends and neighbors to spend a cool afternoon with you.

Evening Leagues:

Adult/Youth

Mondays at 6 p.m. for 2 Bowlers – 1 Adult & 1 Youth

Starts June 6 and ends Aug. 1 with a Sweeper Aug. 8 (off July 4)

This is an opportunity to spend some quality time with your child or grandchild.  At the same time, he or she will be exposed to adult bowlers and they should become better bowlers in the process.  As with all youth programs the emphasis is on positive re-enforcement and FUN. If you know of an interested youth and they have no one to bowl with we will find them an adult partner.

Kings & Queens Summer
Tuesdays at 6 p.m. for 4 Bowlers Mixed/handicap

Starts May 3 and ends July 21 with a Sweeper July 28

This is the summer equivalent of the fall Kings & Queens.

Scotch Doubles

This is a new league on Wednesday nights at 6 p.m. for 2 couples.

Starts May 4 and ends July 6 with a Sweeper July 13.
This a fun league with a different format.  Each couple is one bowler.  One of the partners bowls the first ball of a frame and the other partner bowls for the spare. If the first bowler strikes, then the other partner starts the next frame. Each couple is considered as one bowler in paying league fees.

This league will bowl only 8 weeks.  The third Wednesday of each month will be off to accommodate the Chamber of Commerce’s monthly summer tournaments.

City High Rollers Summer

Thursdays at 6 p.m. for 4 bowlers Mixed/handicap

Starts May 5 and ends Aug. 4 with a Sweeper on Aug. 11.

This is the summer equivalent of the fall City High Rollers.
