Many calls that the Police Department receives are not always included in the blotter, as they are under investigation or a synopsis is not received. To show the amount of work our PD does do, we are including a weekly roster of stats. This week, there were 131 total incidents in the blotter:

Jan. 31: 
Lost Property:  Officer responded to a Moss Drive residence reference a missing license plate. The plate was entered into NCIC as missing.
Traffic Stop:  An officer conducted a traffic stop on W. Pioneer Blvd. that resulted in an arrest for DUI.

Feb. 1: 

Trespassing IP:  Officer responded to a Pioneer Blvd. casino for a report of a male subject refusing to leave. Officer made contact with an intoxicated male who was subsequently taken into custody for violation of trespass after refusing to leave.
Theft:  An Officer took a report of the theft of fuel from construction equipment on Mesquite Hts. Blvd. Information was gathered and the theft is being investigated.
Vandalism:  Officer responded to a Hillside Dr. baseball field reference vandalism.  Upon arrival Officer located, photographed, and completed a vandalism report.
Juvenile Problem:  Officers informed of an incident involving school bus stop located at Riverside Road and Jensen Drive.
Wanted Person:  An Officer responded to the Mesquite Detention Center reference a male with a local misdemeanor warrant. The male was taken into custody for the warrant.
Theft:  An Officer took a report of theft from a Myan Circle storage area. Information was received concerning the stolen item and the theft is under investigation.
Traffic Stop:  An officer conducted a traffic stop on Hillside Dr. that resulted in an arrest.
Minor Gambling:  Officers responded to an E. Pioneer Blvd. casino in reference to a minor gambling and consuming alcohol.
Feb.2: 
Traffic Accident w/ Injuries:  Officers responded to a single vehicle traffic accident on Mesa Boulevard.
Traffic Stop:  An officer conducted a traffic stop on Hillside Dr. that resulted in an arrest for a DUI.
Truancy:  Officers responded to a Valley View Dr. school for a truancy.

Mental Person:  Police responded to a verbal dispute at a residence on Sedona Dr.
Theft From Veh:  Officers responded to the Police Department lobby reference a theft from vehicle. A report was taken.
Fraud:  Officers responded to a call on Myan Circle regarding Internet fraud with limited suspect information. A report was taken.
Lost Property:  Officer responded to a call at a Myan Circle address for lost property. A report was taken.
Stolen Vehicle:  An Officer took a report of a stolen flatbed trailer on Myan Circle. Information was received and the trailer was entered into NCIC as stolen.
Feb.3: 
Traffic Stop:  An officer conducted a traffic stop on W. Mesquite Blvd. that resulted in an arrest for DUI and possession of marijuana.
Citizen Assist:  Report taken for two vehicle fender bender on Mesquite Blvd. Information was provided to the reporting party.
Lost Property:  Subject lost his wallet at an ATM and wanted to file a lost property report.
Fraud:  An officer took a report from a W. Mesquite Blvd. casino in reference to fraudulent activity. The report was completed and forwarded to investigation for further follow up.
Phone Harassment:  A report was taken reference a complaint about postings on social media. It was determined that no crime had been committed at the time of the report.
Traffic Stop:  Officers arrested a female on E. Mesquite Blvd. for driving under the influence of alcohol, open container of alcohol, and fail to maintain travel lane.
Controlled Substance Problem: Officers conducted a traffic stop on W. Mesquite Blvd. on a vehicle for expired registration. Upon further investigation, officers cited the driver for traffic offenses and possession of drug paraphernalia.
Feb. 5:
Identification Check:  An officer was dispatched to an E. Mesquite Blvd. casino, in reference to an ID check.  An adult male subject, who was under 21 years old, was cited and released for minor gambling.
Search Warrant:  A search warrant was executed on a Desert Willow Dr. residence. Two (2) adult males were arrested on narcotic related charges.
Business or License Problem:  Mesquite Officers responded to a local, Second South St., residential area reference a business license problem and possible fraudulent activity.
Verbal Dispute IP:  Officers responded to a verbal argument between a male and female at an E. First South St. residence. The incident was not domestic related. Officers were able to calm the situation and both parties separated without further incident.
Animal Bite:  Officers responded to the hospital in reference to an animal bite.
Domestic Violence IP:  Officers were dispatched to a Mesa Blv. residence, in reference to a domestic situation in progress.  An adult female subject was later arrested for domestic battery (first offense).
Traffic Stop:  Officers completed a traffic stop on a vehicle on Mesa Blvd. which was occupied by two male adults. Officers later arrested the driver for a warrant out of Mesquite Municipal Court, possession of drug paraphernalia, and open container. The passenger was also arrested for parole violation.
Suspicious Person/Circumstance:  Officers responded to a Moss Dr. residence reference a suspicious male.
Feb. 6: 
Recovered Stolen Property:  Officers recovered a stolen BMX bicycle at Milky Way address.  The bicycle was returned to the owner, and the investigation continues.
