Larry LeMieux and The Greater Mesquite Arts Foundation are ready to entertain you with their sixth annual Community Christmas Show. The musical variety show has several skits which are written and directed by Jenna Grubb and Matt McDonald and include your favorite community performers.
The Community Christmas Show is Dec. 4 and 5 at the Mesquite Community Theatre, show times are 7 p.m.
The Peaceful Valley Donkey Rescue Scenic AZ. Satellite Adoption Center is holding a Christmas with the Donkeys open house for the public on Dec. 5 from 11 a.m. to 2 p.m. (Nevada time)
Pictures with Santa and the donkeys will be available as well as refreshments and a 50-50 raffle.
Directions to the Open House from Mesquite: go east on Hillside (past Smiths grocery) about 4 miles. Turn right onto Scenic Blvd. Go all the way to the stop sign then turn right on Elbow Canyon Road. Follow the road until you see mile marker 1 on right. Turn left on Mountain Pine. Pavement will end. Take first left, then first right on dirt road. Go straight and donkeys are on left side of road. We Care for Animals is holding a pet adoption at the old library located at 150 N. Yucca St., #1 on Saturday from 9:30 a.m.-12:30 p.m. Please consider the commitment when choosing a pet as a holiday gift for someone else, but if you’re looking for a ‘furever’ friend for your family then check out the wonderful, adoptable pets at WCFA and the local shelter.
All adoptable pets are vet checked, spayed/neutered, have their first set of shots or boosters and adoption fees include licensing, you can’t get a better deal than that; spay/neuter alone would cost you double the adoption fee.
Don’t breed or buy, adopt and give a great animal a second chance for that happy life with you this holiday season.
The kids won’t want to pass up the chance to take their picture with Santa Claus on Dec. 7 from 4-6 p.m. at the Salvation Army office located at 355 West Mesquite Blvd.
