In a notice from Arizona Highway Patrol Sergeant John Bottoms, travelers going to and from Mesquite through the Virgin River Gorge should plan for long delays over the Thanksgiving Holidays.
The delays are nothing new, but they will be especially heavy due to the increased traffic. Using the alternate route through Beaver Dam on Old Highway 91 is recommended.
