The “Putting Mesquite to Work” Job Fair Committee announced today a community-wide job fair will be held on September 21, 2015 to be held in the Grand Ballroom at the CasaBlanca Resort (950 Mesquite Boulevard, Mesquite, NV).  The event will provide a venue wherein job seekers and employers have the opportunity to interact.

For employers, the job fair is a one-day recruiting event that attracts hundreds of job seekers with broad qualifications.  As such, the job fair gives employers an efficient means of filling job vacancies while providing valuable exposure in the community and region. A booth at the job fair presents an ideal opportunity to fill your job vacancies while providing valuable exposure for your company. The job fair is anticipated to attract hundreds of job seekers with broad qualifications.

For job seekers, they will be able to meet with a variety of employers hiring for beginning, technical, and professional positions. For job seekers nervous about what to expect and how to interact at the job fair, Primex Plastics and the  College of Southern Nevada, Mesquite Campus are offering a FREE classes in “How to Interview for a Job” and “Resume Writing”. CSN will be held on September 17, 2015 between 1 p.m. and 2:30 p.m. and Primex will be held on September 18, 2015 between 10 a.m. and 11:30 a.m. to assist job seekers prepare for the job fair.  For more information about the class, please contact Darlene Montague at CSN at (702) 346-2485 for the class on September 17 and Brandy Carnahan at Mesquite Regional Business at (702) 345-3075 for the Primex class.

“Putting Mesquite to Work” Job Fair Committee is continuing to seek community-minded corporations and employers in need of a quality workforce to participate. Booth spaces are $75.00 if registered by August 21, 2015 and $100 after this date.

In coordination with the One-Stop Career Center and the Workforce Connections programs in Las Vegas, the Job Fair Committee is exploring opportunities for on the job training (OJT) for both employers and job seekers.

The goal of the Job Fair is for every employer to fill their vacant positions and for every qualified job seeker to find a job.
