TUESDAY:  MMGA SUMMER NET TOURNAMENT TIGHTENS

The second to the last day of the annual “fed-ex” net tournament was played at Falcon Ridge Tuesday, under cloudy and unusually mild temps in the 90’s.  Andrew Yeh rapped up first place by the third week in June but all the other positions remain open and will not be determined until the last day, this Thursday, on the road at Coral Canyon in St George.  Bubba Petrick, as he has for the last month holds on to second place but only 100pts behind Tom Durenberger.  Ed Hoepfner is 200 pts behind Durenberger in the 4th spot.  With his 73 today Yeh moved 1350 pts ahead of Petrick.  Petrick and Durenberger both shot 78’s Tuesday to keep pressure on each other for that elusive second place finish.  Ken Ward’s 74 today was just one shot back of Yeh and his net 66 earned him first place low net honors.

The next scheduled play is Tuesday, Sept 1st   at 7:00 at Falcon Ridge and Thursday Sept 3rd  at 9:00 at Green Springs.   Always check your sig up sheets for any corrected times or places.  Anyone interested in joining the MMGA can call 702-346-6363.  Also check out our website at www.mesquitemensgolf.com.
